(Billboard) Randee St. Nicholas is an acclaimed photographer, designer, and director based in Los Angeles, California. She is known worldwide for her collaborations with prominent musicians and actors.

The ultimate collection of stunning photographs documenting the career of one of the world’s greatest superstars

There has never been or will there ever be an artist like Prince. “A 5′ 3″ Mastermind . . . satiated with virtuosity, controversy, stubbornness, and poise . . . His influence on Music transcended any and every category given titles by industry wizards and musicologists. Pop, Rock, Rhythm & Blues, Classical, Funk, Jazz, Soul, and Rap . . . He did it all and he did it well . . . and in his time . . . He did it first,” writes Randee St. Nicholas.

For twenty-five years, this legendary photographer, with a storied career of her own, worked closely with Prince, capturing some of his most intimate and revealing moments both on and off stage.

Now, the fruits of their numerous collaborations are on full display in My Name Is Prince, the largest collection of the most iconic photographs that will ever exist of one of the world’s greatest superstars.

In this dazzling collector’s edition, readers are treated to a front-row seat to their innovative and awe-inspiring projects, from his music videos Gett Off and My Name Is Prince; to their impromptu photo shoots…just because; their adventures around the world from London to Tokyo to Prague, and his breathtaking, showstopping live concert appearances from great stages at Coachella and the 02 Arena to intimate nightclubs.

Many of the trips, we will discover, are either unplanned or hastily arranged. And yet you will marvel at the results—as Prince expected nothing less than the best.

When they met, Prince was ready for a change. The quixotic performer was known for seizing a moment and then on to the next.

After their initial 1991 photo shoot in her Los Angeles studio, Prince assured St. Nicholas, “Don’t worry, I’ll be back.”

Over the next twenty-five years he would return again and again, challenging himself and St. Nicholas to reach higher and to go further with every original pursuit.

My Name Is Prince is the story of that unique working relationship and artistic evolution that produced many stunning images and lasted from their first meeting until the end:

He had incredible timing, not just musically but spiritually, emotionally, and creatively . . . that Prince rhythm fueled a spontaneity that was contagious, enabling you to be more fearless and flexible than you thought you ever could be. When he would call . . . you had to be ready for anything . . . to jump on a plane with an hour or two notice, to put together a crew in a city you had never worked in before without any preparation time . . . or to simply just go outside your house at four in the morning where he was parked in his car, waiting for you to get in and listen to new music he had just recorded. One never knew what to expect . . . but it was always an inspired adventure.

Told through 384 pages of striking visuals and poignant, intimate stories, the insights revealed in My Name Is Prince show a side of the enigmatic megastar that few have ever seen.

We go beyond the genius and meet the man—playful, moody, disciplined, sensual, serious, and soulful.

And in hundreds of photographs, we see that incandescent light behind his hypnotic eyes; that sly smile, strong hands, and transformative and transcendent presence that connected people from every part of the globe through his music.

As his sound lives on, My Name Is Prince is a visual testimony to his greatness and a space that can never be filled.

Prince Some pictures of Prince are nice but many are grainy / blurry / dark. It's an okay book. The book was damaged when it was being put in the box for shipping. It wasn't put in bubble wrap either and it should have been. Debating on whether to keep it.Exceeded Expectations! Wow! Absolutely gorgeous hard cover book filled with amazing pictures! The book was much bigger and heavier than I was expecting! Must buy for fans! Excellent work Randee!Add this Book to your collection This book is HUGE & a must have. My absolute favorite Prince photographer book to date. Beautiful pictures captured by a photographer who GOT Prince. Thank You Randee for these pictures of our beautiful Prince.💜

Title: Food of the Italian South Pdf Recipes for Classic, Disappearing, and Lost Dishes
Author: Katie Parla
Published Date: 2019-03-12
Page: 256

"This excellent volume proves that no matter how well-trodden the Italian cookbook path is, an expert with genuine curiosity and a well-developed voice can still find new material." - Publishers Weekly“Every time I think I’ve seen it all, Katie Parla schools me and opens up an entirely new chapter of mind-blowing simplicity that I become obsessed with. This book proves to be no different. As I delve into these salacious recipes, I can only imagine where she will take me next!” —Marc Vetri, chef-founder Vetri Cucina“What do you want? A beautifully well-documented book that feels like visiting the soul of Italy, with pictures so good you can practically taste the authentic recipes? It’s right here, friends. Transport yourself.” —Joe Beddia, chef-owner Pizzeria Beddia“Katie Parla is without peer when it comes to cataloguing, eating, writing, and cooking about the foods of Italy. I’m biased. She’s my friend and colleague, and for years she has shown me the Italy of my dreams, in her books and just hopping in the car and taking off on the autostrada. As Katie says, ‘this is a calling,’ a duty for her to make sure these little culinary corners of her beloved Italy are revealed to us. But it’s her passion, her gorgeously fun writing style, and these amazing recipes from the Italian South that become our gifts to receive. Intelligent and thorough, I sat salivating while paging through this book, longing to be back in the convertible, driving the Amalfi Coast in search of that next great meal. Food of the Italian South will win awards, become an instant classic, and thrill the critics, no doubt about it. The real gift is that we get to see this part of Italy through Katie’s eye for detail, her luminous stories, and these amazing recipes.” —Andrew Zimmern    “I first met Katie Parla in Rome. I was a fan of Tasting Rome and was thrilled to be spending time with her there. It was then she told me about her upcoming book, Food of the Italian South. Katie has successfully gained my attention for her rich and transportive knowledge of not only Rome but now the southernmost parts of Italy. This book will take you to a place in Italy you may not want to leave and will open your eyes to the food and culture of the Italian South.” —Melissa Rodriguez, executive chef Del Posto   “Katie has unlocked the deliciousness of Italy’s South. This book brings the cuisine of lesser-known regions in an incredibly diverse culinary country to your home. She provides entertaining insight to her personal heritage while honoring the area’s culture and traditions. I can’t wait to get in the kitchen and start cooking this book!” —Sarah Grueneberg, chef-partner Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio     “Food of the Italian South is a rich, personal, and irresistible collection of undiscovered recipes and stories of regional cooking passed down from generation to generation.” —Evan Funke, chef-owner Felix   “Katie Parla, or how I refer to her, ‘my Italian Goddess from Jersey,’ has taught me so much about food, life, friendship, and the importance of Danzig over the last few years. She has single-handedly and lovingly organized all of my culinary trips to Italy and Sicily, including our last trip to Puglia, the mysterious southern heel. I have personally woven a custom Koozie for this incredible book, which I carry close to my heart as a guide for the Italian South.” —Eric Wareheim KATIE PARLA, a New Jersey native, is a Rome-based food and beverage journalist, culinary guide, and educator. She is the author of KatieParla.com, the Saveur Award–winning food and travel site, the ebook Eating & Drinking in Rome, more than twenty travel guides, and coauthor of Tasting Rome (2016), winner of the IACP Award for best international cookbook. 85 authentic recipes and 100 stunning photographs that capture the cultural and cooking traditions of the Italian South, from the mountains to the coast.

In most cultures, exploring food means exploring history—and the Italian south has plenty of both to offer. The pasta-heavy, tomato-forward “Italian food” the world knows and loves does not actually represent the entire country; rather, these beloved and widespread culinary traditions hail from the regional cuisines of the south. Acclaimed author and food journalist Katie Parla takes you on a tour through these vibrant destinations so you can sink your teeth into the secrets of their rustic, romantic dishes. Parla shares rich recipes, both original and reimagined, along with historical and cultural insights that encapsulate the miles of rugged beaches, sheep-dotted mountains, meditatively quiet towns, and, most important, culinary traditions unique to this precious piece of Italy. With just a bite of the Involtini alla Piazzetta from farm-rich Campania, a taste of Giurgiulena from the sugar-happy kitchens of Calabria, a forkful of ’U Pan’ Cuott’ from mountainous Basilicata, a morsel  of Focaccia from coastal Puglia, or a mouthful of Pizz e Foje from quaint Molise, you’ll discover what makes the food of the Italian south unique.

The War on Normal People Download

ISBN: 0316414212
Title: The War on Normal People Pdf The Truth About America's Disappearing Jobs and Why Universal Basic Income Is Our Future
Author: Andrew Yang
Published Date: 2019-04-02
Page: 304

"Andrew Yang is one of those rare visionaries who puts dreams into action. The War on Normal People is both a clear-eyed look at the depths of our social and economic problems and an innovative roadmap toward a better future."―Arianna Huffington, Founder and CEO of Thrive Global"This book is a must read. Andrew Yang is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing our country the way only an entrepreneur can, but unlike most, he sees the big picture. Making money is good for you-but building a strong society and strong people is good for all of us. The topics Andrew addresses in this book aren't about some dystopian future way down the road. These things are happening today, and every entrepreneur should read this book to understand the challenges of the next decade."―Daymond John, star of ABC's Shark Tank, bestselling author of The Power of Broke, and founder of FUBU"In this powerful book, Andrew Yang highlights the urgent need to rewrite America's social contract. In a call to arms that comes from both head and heart, Yang has made an important contribution to the debate about where America is headed and what we need to do about it."―Alec Ross, New York Times bestselling author of The Industries of the Future"America desperately needs a wake-up call. This book will open your eyes to the ongoing effects of automation. Fortunately, aside from knowing full well the many challenges we face, Andrew Yang has a firm grasp of the solutions, most especially our need for Universal Basic Income. Read this book and hear the urgent call for abundance over scarcity, and humanity over abject madness. The clock is ticking."―Scott Santens, Director, U.S. Basic Income Guarantee Network"Andrew Yang writes with passion and conviction, offering astute analysis--as well as a hopeful solution--for the looming challenge that may well define the coming decades: How can we ensure broad-based prosperity in a future where labor-displacing technology becomes vastly more powerful?"―Martin Ford, New York Times bestselling author of Rise of the Robots"A sobering portrait of a crumbling polity . . . [and] a provocative work of social criticism."―Kirkus Reviews"I found [The War on Normal People] fascinating and troubling."―Major Garrett, host of CBS News' "The Takeout" Andrew Yang is the founder of Venture for America, a major non-profit that places top college graduates in start-ups for two years in emerging U.S. cities to generate job growth and train the next generation of entrepreneurs. Yang has been the CEO, co-founder or executive at a number of technology and education companies. Yang was named a Presidential Ambassador of Global Entrepreneurship and a Champion of Change by the White House and one of Fast Company's "100 Most Creative People in Business." He was also named to the National Advisory Council for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Department of Commerce. A major documentary with an Oscar-winning director, Generation Startup, featuring Yang and Venture for America, was released in Fall 2016 and is available on Netflix and other streaming platforms. He is a graduate of Columbia Law, where he was an Editor of the Law Review, James Kent Scholar and winner of the Class of 1912 Prize, and Brown University where he graduated with degrees in Economics and Political Science.

From 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, a captivating account of how "a skinny Asian kid from upstate" became a successful entrepreneur, only to find a new mission: calling attention to the urgent steps America must take, including Universal Basic Income, to stabilize our economy amid rapid technological change and automation.

The shift toward automation is about to create a tsunami of unemployment. Not in the distant future--now. One recent estimate predicts 45 million American workers will lose their jobs within the next twelve years--jobs that won't be replaced. In a future marked by restlessness and chronic unemployment, what will happen to American society?

In The War on Normal People, Andrew Yang paints a dire portrait of the American economy. Rapidly advancing technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics and automation software are making millions of Americans' livelihoods irrelevant. The consequences of these trends are already being felt across our communities in the form of political unrest, drug use, and other social ills. The future looks dire-but is it unavoidable?

In The War on Normal People, Yang imagines a different future--one in which having a job is distinct from the capacity to prosper and seek fulfillment. At this vision's core is Universal Basic Income, the concept of providing all citizens with a guaranteed income-and one that is rapidly gaining popularity among forward-thinking politicians and economists. Yang proposes that UBI is an essential step toward a new, more durable kind of economy, one he calls "human capitalism."

I literally jumped out of my bed in excitement halfway through reading this book. I literally jumped out of my bed in excitement halfway through reading this book.Andrew Yang completely nails what has caused many of the problems in the US. His simple description of the human effects from automation, and his major policy recommendations to fix them are both a strong reality check and extremely inspirational.Whether you're Republican or Democrat, Andrew clearly proves that automation is real and having a negative effect on our society. Most importantly, instead of just identifying the problems, he suggests bold (but still realistic) policy solutions that can prepare us for this new reality. It's a quick read, easy to understand and Andrew throws in a few good laughs along the way.Simply put - This is a must-read for all Americans.Great diagnoses of the trends and problems underlying American society Andrew Yang writes a well thought out piece on the issues facing America today and gives a suggested solution in the form of Universal Basic Income. There were 2 things that stood out to me about his book, 1) the growing disillusionment of the young male population, and 2) what it means to be normal and the bubble many elites live in.Communities of angry young men is nothing new, but in the last 10 years they have had a explosion of growth as people retreat from social interactions and just give up with a nihilistic air to them (groups like MGTOW or TheRedPill are great examples). Yang addresses the man child that sees no future when he points to what many online communities of angry men preach, more women graduate from college, it's hard to climb up unless you were born into it, let's just give up, and etc etc. He further notes how this damages our social fabric, from the increasing drug usage to decreasing marriage rates to decreasing civic engagement. The disillusionment as mentioned is talked about, but recognizing the desire to retreat into video games was a relate-able feeling that other leaders have not talked about. But despite the growing problem within people outside of the intellectual class, we as a country live in a divided world such that while only ~30% of Americans have bachelors degrees, if we have a Bachelors degree ourselves, chances are we only know people with bachelors degrees as well. He further notes that the elites in our country that went to MIT, Harvard, Stanford, and etc go to work in the same places and the same companies and hang out with each other further segmenting themselves off from society. This is self-evident in the last election where many liberal Americans were caught blindsided by the Trump win that tapped into a large vein of discontentment.Yang clearly illustrates and trends and diagnoses the problems, his solution he puts forward will stand debate over the coming years as I suspect it's not the last we hear of it. What is clear is that the issues he outlines are undeniable and need to be addressed with new ideas as opposed to more of the same.

Read the reviews before you buy I was really excited about this book. I've read my share of witty, in your face, self help books before but this one does it all WRONG. The author's perspective is incredibly privileged and there's a point about mid way through where she says "if you're depressed, just act like someone who isn't depressed". While I do think the idea of manifesting what you want through positive thinking is great, this book isn't the first to suggest it. Overall the author seems out of touch, the books is potentially triggering, and I would not recommend it.Self-help horsesh-t with some bad words thrown in I have to commend Jen Sincero for putting her on spin on the whole LOA thing and making some money off it, or at least making some money off me. Because no one forced me to buy this book. Everything in this book, I PROMISE YOU, can be found for free on the internet, just without the sassy, pseudo punk-rocky demeanor that is really the selling point of this thing. Following one of the main points of this book, I take full responsibility for wasting time and money on reading this pile of hoo-hah.Good writing but limited perspective Jen Sincero is a talented writer, and her edgy, irreverent style will be inspiring and motivational to many readers. If you've read other self help books then you probably won't find much that's new here. In fact, it's really the in-your-face tone and humor in her writing that makes this book worthwhile. As for her ideas, I personally found a lot to take issue with. First, she has a very polarized view of spiritual growth that divides our lives in to those that suck and those that are awesome. Maybe that works for young millennials just starting out in life, and if that's the audience she’s g oing for, then great, but most of us are somewhere on a continuum and her assertions that life is either this way or that way are simplistic to say the least. Sincero also uses a lot of highly critical, edgy language to describe people who are struggling or stuck - therefore not as awesome as she is - using words like "lame-o " "suck" "wuss" ...well, you get the idea. This may be mildly amusing the first time around, but it gets old fast and it's not exactly kind to those who may really be struggling. I have to confess that I question a writer who continually references her own life choices and personal career success as a model that the rest of us should follow. There is an exhibitionistic, narcissistic, "look at me", "look at how successful I am" dimension running through this book that is self-indulgent while lacking insight about what success could mean or look like for another person. Read this book for a quick shot of motivation if that's what you need, it's good for that, but look elsewhere for help in developing your own ideas and values about success and purpose. This is the Jen Sincero version and it may not apply to you.

I See You Free Pdf

ISBN: B07P32NGR6
Title: I See You Pdf

From New York Times bestselling author Mary Burton comes a gritty, suspenseful story in the Criminal Profiler series.

FBI special agent Zoe Spencer uses skeletal remains to recreate the faces of murder victims through sculpture. Though highly scientific, the process is also sensitive and intimate; she becomes attached to the individuals she identifies, desperate to find justice for each.

As Zoe examines old remains, she sees a teenage girl looking back at her—the victim in a cold case from over a decade ago. Zoe wants nothing more than to tell this young woman’s story and to bring her killer to justice.

Zoe’s case leads her to the victim’s hometown and to homicide detective William Vaughan, Zoe’s on-again, off-again lover. As the two become more involved in the case, they quickly realize that it isn’t as cold as they first believed: someone’s still out there hunting women. And with more women gone missing, time’s running out. Can they work together and stop this madman before he kills again?

Suspenseful Mary Burton is one of my favorite authors. She writes intriguing, suspenseful mysteries with a touch of romance. I See You is an enjoyable mystery that will keep you guessing "who did it" well into the night. The story opens with the discovery of the skeleton of a young woman that had been hidden away in a trunk for years. FBI agent Zoe Spencer is a forensic sculptor and is called in to rebuild the skull in order to identify the body. It turns out to be a young woman named Marsha Prince who disappeared some 20 years before. Zoe and Detective William Vaughan team up to work the cold case. And boy do things get interesting after that. After they notify Marsha's sister, Hadley, and her family that her sister's body has been found, she is stabbed and kidnapped along with her daughter Skylar. Zoe and Vaughan race against the clock to find them while trying to make sense of the story about what happened that they are getting from Hadley's husband Mark Foster. Past and present secrets are dredged up, and it seems that someone is killing women resembling Hadley! Even though I had an idea of who the killer was Mary still was able throw in a surprise or two.Mary Burton also creates great characters. All her books have mature, intelligent leads. Zoe has overcome tragedy in her past and has reinvented herself a couple of times, Vaughan is a single father, has just taken his son to college and is facing an empty nest. Mary doesn't push their relationship at us, rather allows it to grow quietly and naturally. My thanks to the author and to Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Enjoyed it - Good suspense I See You was a multi-layered read full of twists and turns, mystery, suspense, secrets and lies, and a sort of slow-burn romance between the two main characters, Vaughan and Spencer. The plot and character development continued throughout the story at a steady pace, continually drawing you in, as well as sinking you deeper into the web of secrets and lies Vaughan and Spencer had to unravel surrounding the family members involved in their case. All was definitely not as it seemed.I enjoyed Vaughan’s character from the start, but I found Zoe Spencer’s character a bit harder for me to warm up to. Yet, the deeper I got into the read I began to like her character more. As for the storyline, it had several layers to unravel, many characters to keep straight and I have to admit a time or two I was a tad confused but by the reveal and wrap up I found I enjoyed the overall story. I am a big fan of Burton’s books and though I did enjoy this one, it did not leave me with the ‘oh wow!’ feeling I usually have when finishing one of her stories but this will definitely not deter me from reading more.*I received an ARC from the publisher, via NetGalley, and I am providing my honest review.
